Update On Tornillo Helicopter Crash Two of the three people injured in a helicopter crash in Tornillo are now out of the hospital. The wreckage was found at the 5-R Ranch near Alameda and Shaffer streets. As we were first to report, Border Patrol vehicles blocked the road leading to the crash site. On board, two Texas National Guard soldiers and a Border Patrol agent. An agent who asked to remain anonymous, tells us the chopper was most likely performing flight operations to combat human smuggling.

It was 0800 Friday morning when ABP's Border Hawk spotted the Mexican Humvee hiding under a railroad trestle east of Naco, Arizona (Satellite view), along a well-known smuggling route. Mexican officials have said their military is forbidden from traveling within three miles of the border.
At about 10 am Friday, the National Guard reported seeing a Mexican Military helicopter intruding into the U.S. near Fresnal Canyon. A Blackhawk helicopter was dispatched but arrived to find the Mexicans had retreated back across the border. A similar incident was reported at 2 p.m. the same day.

The original cause of the strife, a teachers' strike for better pay, has become lost in the escalating violence and the revolutionary bombast of the protesters, who now demand that Gov. Ulises Ruiz step down.

The teachers' union has been joined by scores of social organizations, some of them with extreme philosophies. They have shut down highways, taken over five radio stations, burned more than a dozen buses, blocked off the city's historic square, seized government offices, destroyed the stage for an annual cultural fair and blockaded tourists in their hotels.

Mel Gibson: A falsely accused man. True to form like the communist media whores they are they accused Mel Gibson of a SPEECH CRIME. A crime against the state and their religion called secularism. Has anybody noticed how the media puts first so much emphasis on bigotry...Instead of the actual crime. He never apologized to the members of the community for his terrorizing driving. The media rats don't care about that! All day and night and on every talk show what they obsess about is what he allegedly said said about Jews. Instead of the real crime of driving a one ton machine recklessly under the influence of alcohol in a residential neighborhood endangering men women and children. Mel Gibson has done what is right by standing up and admitting he made a mistake and taking immediate action the remedy the problem. But he needs to apologize to the residents of the area first then the jews.
