Mexican military representative Manuel Garcia Ruiz said Dec. 21 that the Zetas, a violent organization made up of members with military or police training who hire their services out to cartels, are finished, and that the majority of the remaining members have been captured or killed by the Mexican military in its efforts to drive the drug cartels from the state of Michoacan. The son of drug leader Alfonso Barajas Figueroa, who is already in federal custody, was captured Dec. 21.

A Present for Border Patrol
